Dear authors,

Due to many requests, we extended the deadline for reviews which lead to extended deadlines for notification and submission of the final paper.

Extended deadlines are listed below:

Reviews: May 4th, 2021
Notifications: May 7, 2021
Final papers: May 28, 2021

Once again we would like to thank you for your support in the review process.
Without your cooperation, double-blind reviews wouldn’t be possible.

Thank you for your help and understanding,

Your Bled eConference team

Dear Authors,

First of all, we would like to thank you very much for submitting your research paper to our conference.

We are proud to have received a comparable number of submissions as in previous years. We are particularly pleased to have received many submissions from authors who are planning to attend for the first time.

Today we began the review process. Some of you may be surprised to receive an invitation to review. However, this is one of the ways we foster community spirit and ensure that each paper is blind-reviewed at least twice.

As every year, the reviewers are listed at the beginning of the conference proceedings.
In addition, special recognition will be given to the best review.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Bled eConference community and will do our best to foster community spirit, even during a pandemic, closed borders, and our second online conference.

Your Bled eConference Team

Dear authors and supporters of Bled eConference,

besides other regular publishing partnerships, we just received confirmation that the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research will publish a Bled eConference special issue.
We are still debating some details, and we will post more information soon.
There is still time to submit your research, we accept research papers until March 23, 2021.

Dear colleagues, we decided to extend the deadline for submission of research papers until March 23, 2021.

In light of travel restrictions that are in place for the majority of countries, the conference will be held online in its full capacity.

The dates of the conference won’t be changed.

We will significantly reduce the pricing for the online conference shortly.

Looking forward to your paper submission,

Bled eConference organizing team

We invite submissions to Bled eConference in all areas of research related to the Digitial Economy and Society with special emphasis on digital transformation.

Submitted papers should make a significant contribution to theory, knowledge, and practice in the areas of information management, information systems, information technology, and information resources management. Papers based on both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, in all traditional as well as new areas of Management Information Systems, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Technology Management are accepted.

We offer the following special interest tracks …

As the theme of the 2021 Bled eConference is Digital support from crisis to progressive change, the Bled Students Bazaar is specifically dedicated to applications and software-based solutions that transform people’s lives in a value-sensitive way. Think of apps that help patients to cope with their medication intake, that helps them stop smoking, which warn them if air pollution is endangering their allergy. But also think of software solutions for citizens that leverage (big) data smartly in a smart city context, for example enabling sustainable and healthy mobility choices, or think of software prototypes that demonstrate new business models, e.g. leveraging Blockchain technology. The possibilities are endless. But what really works? These are the key considerations of this call for proposals.

We call bachelors, honors, masters, and Ph.D. students in information, computer, organization, management, innovation, health, and related disciplines, from all countries, to write a proposal in which the idea is thoroughly described.

We welcome submissions to the Bled eConference Doctoral Consortium by March 15, 2021.

Doctoral Consortium provides an opportunity for doctoral and research master students to write and present an aspect of their research.

Authors will be expected to present their research at the Doctoral Consortium session at the conference, where they will receive written notes by Doctoral Consortium co-chairs. There will be ample time scheduled for questions and debates to help guide you through the various aspects of your research. Along with Doctoral Consortium co-chairs, the session is joined by other senior researchers and professors. We encourage supervisors to join us in the exciting session and provide their feedback on all presentations. This day provides a rich experience for both students and supervisors about the process of research.

The finalized papers will be published in the conference proceedings under the Doctoral Consortium section.

About conference

Bled eConference has been shaping electronic interactions since 1988. Small supportive community offers the opportunity to benefit from expertise of esteemed researchers. It attracts speakers and delegates from business, government, information technology providers and universities and is the major venue for researchers working in all aspects of digital transformation.

The conference venue is the Alpine village of Bled, 30 km south of the Austrian border – one of the most beautiful spots imaginable. Expect to learn and play and come away feeling that you have achieved more than you normally would at any conference.

With fresh ideas and complementary themes we would like to establish a creative environment for researchers, government, industry/business representatives and technology providers and an attractive meeting point for discussing new R&D and project ideas, also in the spirit of Horizon 2020.

The conference has a wide appeal, offering:

  • a fully-refereed Research Track, devoted to researchers in all aspects of digital transformation;
  • Doctoral Consortium, offering students to present their ongoing master’s and PhD study results;
  • ePrototype Students Bazaar, offering students opportunities to present innovative e- or m-Business or IoT ideas, models, prototypes and apps;
  • a Business and Government Panel Track which attracts eminent business and government leaders from Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific;
  • Business, Government and Academic Workshops and Meetings offering unparalleled opportunities to discuss, share and learn with colleagues from around the world;
  • EU projects dissemination meetings; enabling project partners to connect with other similar projects and to disseminate results to a wider community.
