Dr. Aida Kamišalić Latifić is an Assistant Professor and Researcher at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor. Over the past four years, she served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Slovenia, where she was responsible for the information society and the development of digital solutions.

She is an expert in digital transformation and public policy design in the fields of digitalization and artificial intelligence, with a strong focus on the strategic and responsible adoption of technologies in the public sector. Her work bridges technological innovation with ethical, legal, and societal considerations, advocating for a human-centered approach to technology.

Dr. Kamišalić Latifić actively collaborates with academia, research institutions, industry, and civil society organizations, contributing to discussions on digital sovereignty and the future of digital governance. She places particular emphasis on trust, security, the protection of vulnerable groups, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
