A hallmark of an effective discipline is a 'cumulative tradition', whereby researchers seek to stand on the shoulders of their predecessors.
Within the eCommerce research domain, the Bled community has been in existence the longest, and is probably the world's largest.
In addition to many industry papers, its Research Stream has produced over 600 refereed papers since 1995, with about 60 later appearing in enhanced form in the leading journals IJEC and EM.
The annual lakeside pilgrimage to Bled can be a nucleus for an eCommunity that transcends space and time constraints.
To do that, we need to take advantage of the tools offered by contemporary and emergent information infrastructure.
This Workshop will investigate the possibilities.
