Workshop Outline

The main driver of innovation and competitiveness in our days is ICT and eBusiness. eBusiness is conducive not only to technological innovation, but most importantly, organisational innovation, as it revolutionises business models and processes, make them more efficient and boost overall competitiveness.

The objective of this eBSN workshop is to provide an overview of current trends in technical and organisational innovation, notably from the point of view of SMEs. The workshop will present new developments in the RFID arena, including new application scenarios, as well as the newly developed concept of the Authorised Economic Operator, aiming at assessing and certifying firms thus improving security of electronic transactions. Moreover, it will present the brand new on-line service “eBusiness Guide for SMEs: eBusiness software and services in the European market” launched by the European Commission.
