Workshop outline

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the models of handling new ideas in politics, especially at the parliamentary level. There are very different kind of solutions on how to organize future oriented parliamentary work, how to make politics innovative and visionary at the national and at the international level.

Most developed methods are used in technology assessment. In that field there is even European network among national parliaments and partners called EPTA (European Parliamentary Technology Assessment). It's presidency this year is in the Netherlands and the chairman is Jan Staman, Director of the Rathenau Instituut in den Haag who is among the workshop’s presenters.

In this workshop we try to connect people who have a bit longer experience in working with new ideas and technology, visions and innovations with the parliaments, as well as those who are just starting.
